It is rather surprising to note that ski glasses are not some thing that belongs to the modern man; archeologists have unearthed snow goggles from historical sites that are over thousand years old. Though the purpose of those ski goggles are the same they looked very different from the modern day ski goggles for the obvious reasons. The original ski goggles were made of pieces of bones and shell. These pieces of bones or shells had eye holes that are little more than an inch. These pieces of bones and shells are held in place by thin vein like material. The main purpose of those prehistoric goggles is to protect the eyes from sun’s glare on the white snow and to save skiers from snow blindness.
