Both are masked in a very similar helmet, both don't really talk, both were orphaned at a young age and trained to be super warriors, both rely on suits, both are super human athletes. Space Pirates, Covenant. The Federation, Marines (although I'd say maybe Metroid got their influence from Halo on this), Metroids and Flood, Chozo and Forerunners.

      It's almost like Halo's a generic FPS version of Metroid.
