    • prisoner24601, on 05/11/2008, -3/+9Fix the Roadie Run. Raam killed me like a hundred times because every time I tried to run down the train platform I got "crouched" to any object I touched. Somehow the logic seems to think that when I'm running for my life I want to take cover ON THE SAME SIDE of an object as the enemy that is shooting at me.

      PS - It would be just extra sweet if they didn't make me watch the same cutscreen EVERY SINGLE TIME that I try to repeat a level. I don't mind dying. I don't mind being a noob. I don't mind having to endure pummeling after pummeling to crawl even one checkpoint ahead in the storyline, even on casual. I'm not even all THAT angry that Roadie Run will pin you to whatever random object you accidentally get within touching distance of, even when you are running for your life. But it made me nuts to be "punished" by spending 60 seconds watching Raam scream "serve the queen" over and over again just because I had the audacity to allow myself to be killed.

      Other than that, Gears was pretty amazing.

        • ferrariman60, on 05/13/2008, -0/+2Ha. Now, I've played Doom plenty, that chainsaw was fun (at the time) but useless at the same time. A last resort only. The enemies didn't get cut in half and splatter blood on your screen. I haven't played warhammer, but chainsaw swords sound lame.
          Don't you get it! It's the combination of two of the finest destructive tools ever made- guns and chainsaws- that makes the Lancer worth more than the sum of its parts.

    The Gears of War vs Gears of War 2 side by side comparisons are just embarrassing. A minor update to the same old 'let's slap teh shinny over everything' Unreal Engine 3 based Killswitch ripoff with crappy 4vs4 laggy online play.

Then, as i started to get better, I started enjoying it a lot. I love how you really have to work as a team. I still play it a hell of a lot. The online was in no way a disaster.
