The side from Ecuador took a giant step to claiming the Copa Libertadores trophy with a resounding 4-2 win in the first leg of the final. Four first-half goals from Bieler, Guerron, Campos and Urrutia were only dampened by two goals from the much-fancied Brazilian side through Conca and Urrutia. Despite the two-goal deficit Fluminense will have a packed stadium at the Maracana to cheer them on as they themselves bid to win the tournament for the first time in their history. The South American equivalent of the Champions League has not been short of goals and excitement and this second leg promises to be no different as the Brazilians look to claim the trophy on home soil.
